Customize Display

Click the Customize Display button located at the top of each screen, to make selections for defining how the records are displayed during your current session. Click Save Changes to implement this customization for the balance of your session. You can click Default Settings to reset the display to the original system default settings, or change settings, at any time during your session. Once you log off of your WilsonWeb account, or are timed out, the customization you have done will revert to the default settings for the library.

Use the "+" or "-" to expand or collapse certain parts of the screen to show all available options.

There are five areas in the screen:

Record Sort Options

Select Fields to Include...

Article Records, Biography Records, Fact Records, Book Records, and Art Museum Image Gallery and Art Gallery Special Collection

Apply These Custom Settings To...

All Displayed, Printed, Emailed, and Saved Records, Displayed Records only, Printed Records only, Emailed Records only, or Saved Records only

To modify the display of records:

1.

Starting with the Record Display Options, select the label display, the number of results shown on each screen, and whether or not you want to see a Brief or Full Display.

2.

Select how you want records sorted: by date, relevance, or some other field from the drop-down window. Select the sort order of the retrieved records.

3.

Select the Interface Language (for primary screens - Basic Search, Advanced Search, Browse, Thesaurus, Print Email Save and Exporting/Citing). Also select the color of the interface, if desired.

4.

For customizing the citations being displayed, check any fields you wish to include in your results or uncheck the field options you would like to exclude from your results.

5.

Apply the desired fields to the Custom Settings area, as desired.

6.

Click Save Changes in the top or bottom taskbar to confirm your selections.

You can change these options at any time during the search session.

When you click Save Changes or Default Settings, you will return to your previous screen.

“My WilsonWeb” Customization: Note that most of the above customization features are also available within your “My WilsonWeb” parallel account under the link Customize Interface. The customization changes made there, however, will remain permanent so long as you have logged into your “My WilsonWeb” account.
