The DDC field lists the Dewey Decimal classification number for books. The example above retrieves all records for books with the specific call number 398.2. Use the <starts> operator to retrieve records for books with any Dewey Decimal call number beginning with 39.
DT Document Type

PRI Peer Reviewed Journal

The PRI field indicates whether the document is from a peer-reviewed journal. The field contains a "y" if the journal is peer-reviewed. This indicator is present for journals published from 1996.

Limit fields, when combined with other search terms, are particularly useful for focusing or limiting a search. To search a limit field, use the in operator with the field abbreviation, such as symposium in dt. Omitting the field label retrieves information from free text (non-limit) fields only.

Education Full Text is a bibliographic database that indexes and abstracts articles of at least one column in length from English-language periodicals and yearbooks published in the United States and elsewhere. English-language books relating to education published in 1995 or later are also indexed. Abstracting coverage begins with January 1994. Abstracts range from 50 to 300 words and describe the content and scope of the source documents. Full-text coverage begins in January 1996.
